Xtreme BI for Passport
Xtreme BI for Passport is a business intelligence (BI) platform designed to support data capture, integrated reporting with advanced analytics, and internal operational workflows for Passport Services. While it can be deployed as a traditional web application into the cloud (e.g., AWS Elastic Beanstalk), it is also available as an executable JAR. The executable JAR allows Xtreme BI to run as a self-contained application with an embedded web server.
The executable JAR version is particularly useful for the Xtreme Solutions back office. In some hosted environments, operational limits can affect tasks such as larger file uploads. By running Xtreme BI for Passport through its executable JAR, the application uses its own embedded Apache Tomcat server instead of relying on its hosted deployment for the delivery of web application services. This makes the executable-JAR edition a strong choice for internal administration, back-office processing, and data-loading scenarios where greater flexibility is needed.
To run the executable JAR, install a compatible Java Virtual Machine (JVM) first. One recommended option is the Open JDK from Oracle, which offers free, enterprise-ready JVM binaries and installation support for Windows, macOS, and Linux (OpenJDK). Download and install JDK 17 and then start the application by issuing the command java -jar xtremebi.jar in PowerShell or your command line tool of choice. We have also packaged the executable JAR with a JVM for windows. This makes it possible to run the application by just running the file run.bat in PowerShell or your command line tool of choice.

- Xtreme BI for Passport JAR download – To use this version of the application you will need to acquire a Java virtual machine (JVM); the JVM will need to be version 17 or later. Using that JVM you will launch the application with java -jar xtremebi.jar.

When you have setup your machine to run the application and have started the executable JAR, navigate a browser on the machine to http://localhost:8080.
